Maybe you have some things laying around that you are no longer using, or know of someone who does......We are in need of the following things:
VOLUNTEERS...THE FOLLOWING SHIFTS NEED ONE OR TWO MORE VOLUNTEERS TO FILL: MON, TUES, , THURS, FRI, SAT, AND SUN 9AM TO 1 PM AND THURS AND FRI 4 TO 7 PM
HAY! WE REALLY NEED HAY! OUR WAITING LIST IS LONG, SOME OF THE HORSES ARE DESPERATE AND WE NEED TO HELP THEM. ANY HAY DONATIONS WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL! WE ALSO HAVE SOME FUNDS TO PURCHASE, SO IF ANYONE KNOWS OF HORSE QUALITY HAY FOR SALE, OUR NEED IS GREAT!
We have several horses that need work to give their feet for trimming. Some of these animals are in dire need of hoof care, but must be trained to allow their feet to be handled for this. If you have had some experience with this, and can commit to a regular schedule for awhile, we would appreciant help!
Hay season is here. We need to raise nearly $10,000 to feed the horses this winter. That is a tall order, but I am confidant we can do it if everyone will help some. We also need help hauling the hay, so if you are experienced at driving a "rig" give us a holler.
We can use two more hay feeders. Does anyone have any laying around that they don't need? Looking for things that are safe for the horses of course!
We are also running a fund drive to obtain a pickup and trailer so that we are equipped to transport horses out of bad situations quickly, as well as deliver them to new homes when needed.
EQUINE SENIOR... WE HAVE ANOTHER OLDER GENTLEMAN WHO REALLY NEEDS A SENIOR DIET
EQUINE HIGH PROTEIN FEED.....We use a high pro feed supplement to rehab starved and underweight horses.
LOOSE VITAMIN MINERAL SUPPLEMENT, MINERAL BLOCKS AND SALT BLOCKS
regular horse feed, any kind helps!
TREATS! apples, carrots, treats of all kinds, the horses love them. Also feel free to bring out your kitchen scraps, the poultry will eat almost anything, and they love veggie scraps.

Hi, I am Charlotte, but the horses here all refer to me as “MaMa”.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, I LOVE HORSES… well, actually all animals, but especially horses. Life has taken me through some interesting lessons and experiences, including homeopathy studies, energetic healing work, natural horsemanship training, animal communication, and so much more. I have also found that I have a passion for teaching. I love to work with the horses, and even more, I love to share my passion for horses with people. After all, the more aware people become, the better it is for the animals. My love for horses and my drive to make change and help the ones in need combined with the help of many others has manifested into the operation now known as Hightail Horse Ranch and Rescue... I also love Joel (smile). Obviously he returns the love, as you can see by the photo, but it is also evident by the way he jumped on board and signed up for a lifetime commitment with me, my family, and this cause.
THANK YOU to our farriers, Chris Barrows (donated a whole day of his time to our rescue horses!)
Jordanne Bruns (provides farrier care for our rescues at a reduced cost)
